About PM Landscapes
Patrick Martin formed PM Landscapes over 25 years ago which has worked extensively across South West London designing and creating beautiful gardens. One of our greatest USPs is knowing how to design, construct and deliver a garden project where the garden maximises the use of sometimes limited space. Reliable, Professional, Creative
At PM Landscapes, Patrick is the person you will speak to the most. He will ensure that from the initial consultation right through the design, construction, and planting stages, every aspect of your garden project is carefully managed and taken care of.
When it comes to landscape gardening, excellent design concepts and ideas are only as good as their implementation in reality on the ground – for this, skilled construction, attention to detail and experience are all required and PM Landscapes has a deserved reputation for all of these.
From a landscaping point of view, gardens in Southwest London come with their own unique set of challenges. These unique garden settings often have to cater to several different requirements at once – entertaining space, mini football pitch, planting areas, and storage to name but a few.
As mentioned, one of our many unique selling points is that PM Landscapes have the knowledge and experience to organize limited space in order to achieve the maximum use of your garden while at the same time, ensuring that the main areas remain clear and uncluttered. It’s a kind of magic skill!
Choosing the right materials is also an essential component to the successful outcome of any garden project and PM Landscapes will offer free advice on this during the initial consultation. Based on what will work the best, we can narrow down a vast array of options, to a few of the best. It makes the decision process much more enjoyable, and the end results speak for themselves.
Choices range from a contemporary set-up using the new composite decking materials combined with rendered raised beds, to a more traditional style using natural stone such as slate, limestone, sandstone, or granite. Whatever the setting and choices, we can advise on costs and timing too.
Every aspect of the garden must work together. Planting and lighting can really set your garden apart, but both must be appropriate to the setting and to your requirements and budget. Many urban gardens need to be low-maintenance, so we include a planting scheme combined with advice on how to achieve that.
Our Clients say it all…
“When we asked Patrick to come round and quote for a new patio, integral seating, and fencing I had a basic idea of what we wanted. Patrick was able to come up with practical and cost-effective ways of implementing our plans with lots of suggestions for improvements along the way. The result is a lovely seating area at the end of our garden which the whole family is happy with and everyone who sees it is very impressed. This area along with new fencing and planting has greatly improved the garden overall. Patrick and his team were great to work with, and very friendly, helpful, and tidy. The work has all been carried out to a very high standard. Overall we were very pleased with PM Landscapes and would not hesitate to recommend them.”

“Having seen PM Landscapes advert in the Putney & Barnes Magazine I contacted Patrick in relation to my garden project. I was seeking to undertake a complete overhaul and I am absolutely delighted with the results. The space seems so much larger, and more open and I get considerably more light having had the garden cleared of some large trees and overgrown shrubs. The area is largely paved with randomly patterned limestone (allowing plenty of room for entertaining) but has attractive fence panels and a large raised bed that follows a curved shape with low maintenance planting and some subtle up-lighting. However, there is sufficient space for me to add seasonal colours from time to time.
Patrick was very quick to respond to my initial enquiry and in our first meeting we discussed some of my initial ideas and he outlined how we could develop these further. He made some incredibly helpful suggestions but ensured to provide me with a few options to consider. His advice in respect of the type of fencing and hard landscaping was invaluable given there is such a wide range of materials available. Patrick was incredibly patient with my endless questions and importantly, also made us aware of the cost implications of various options in order that I could identify a suitable budget. Patrick has extensive knowledge of plants also. He provided some excellent advice on how to achieve a low-maintenance garden whilst also incorporating a range of evergreen and deciduous plants that display a range of colours and textures. I look forward to seeing how the garden develops as the plants mature.
As I work full-time, I had to hand over my house keys to Patrick and David but I felt very comfortable with them being in the house in my absence. Given my garden is only accessible through the house, I greatly appreciated the team’s hard work in cleaning up at the end of each day. I was very impressed by their care and attention to detail whilst working and Patrick kept me in touch with any adjustments that were necessary as the project progressed. The work has been carried out to an extremely high standard by a very professional team. They were a delight to work with and left me with some very helpful hints and tips on how to make the best of my garden in the future.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Patrick and his team to anyone seeking to undertake a garden project.”
